Delete your LovUp account

This page explains how to request the deletion of your account in the LovUp app, developed by KAMPLISH – Desenvolvimento de Sistemas LTDA, and what happens to each type of data associated with it.

1How to request deletion

You can delete your account in two ways. Both permanently remove your account and its associated data.

From inside the app Recommended

Takes effect immediately. Tap each step to mark it as done and track your progress.

  1. Open LovUp and tap the Profile tabLast icon on the bottom bar.
  2. Tap "Edit Profile"In the account settings section.
  3. Scroll to the bottom and tap "Delete Account"The button is at the very bottom of the screen.
  4. (Optional) Export your data firstThe deletion screen offers to download a copy of your data. Once deleted, it cannot be recovered.
  5. Confirm the deletionYour account and associated data are deleted and you are signed out of the app.

🔒 For your security, the request must come from the email registered to the account. We verify your identity before deleting.

⚠️

LovUp Devoted subscription: deleting your account does not automatically cancel your subscription. Cancel it in the Google Play Store (Menu → Payments & subscriptions) or the App Store (Settings → your name → Subscriptions) before deleting your account.

2What is deleted and what is kept

As described in our Privacy Policy (section 13: Data Retention).

Permanently deleted

  • 🗑️Account & profile: name, email, date of birth, gender, profile photo, status message
  • 🗑️Journal memories: titles, descriptions, dates and photos
  • 🗑️Quizzes, lists, games and check-ups: all answers and content you created
  • 🗑️Relationship data: dating/engagement/wedding dates and the link with your partner
  • 🗑️Location: coordinates from the sharing feature (we keep no history)
  • 🗑️Push notification tokens for your device

Kept temporarily (legal requirement)

  • 🧾Subscription & transaction records: kept for the period required by tax, accounting and consumer-protection law
  • 🛡️Security & audit logs: kept as needed for security and legal accountability
  • 📋Consent records: kept for the period needed to demonstrate legal compliance
  • 🐞Diagnostic/crash data: expires automatically within 90 days at our diagnostics provider
⏱️ Timeframes: in-app deletion takes immediate effect on our servers. Email requests are processed within 30 days after identity verification. Residual copies in backups are removed within 30 days. Data kept for legal reasons (column beside) is retained only for the minimum required period and then deleted or anonymized.

3Frequently asked questions

What happens to my partner's data?
Your partner's account is not affected: only the couple link is removed. Content you created is deleted; content your partner created remains in their account.
Can I recover my account after deleting it?
No. Deletion is permanent and irreversible. If you want to keep your memories, use the "Export my data" option before confirming deletion: it's available right on the app's deletion screen.
Does uninstalling the app delete my account?
No. Uninstalling the app only removes local data from your device. Your account and the data on our servers continue to exist until you request deletion using one of the methods above.
Can I delete only some data without deleting my account?
Yes. You can delete memories, lists and other content individually inside the app. You can also exercise other rights (access, correction, portability) by writing to support@lovup.app.
How soon will I get a confirmation?
In-app, deletion is immediate. By email, we reply within 24–48h on business days to verify your identity, and complete the deletion within 30 days, sending you a final confirmation.
