Back to home OUR STORY

It was a Tuesday.
We were looking for a photo.

How can two people who share a life not be able to find a photo?

It was a regular Tuesday last year. We were at home, eating dinner, when she asked me: "do you still have that photo from our first dinner together?".

"I know it exists. It was on my old phone. I think I saved it to Google Photos. Maybe on WhatsApp?".

We looked. 40 minutes of looking. And nothing.

It was nobody's fault. It was just the way we lived: the most important memories of our story scattered across 4 or 5 places, with no thread connecting them.

The day we lost the photos from our first year was the day I understood why this app needed to exist.

We use Instagram to show others. WhatsApp to talk to everyone. Notes to remember practical things. But the photos, the messages, the small memories that make us who we are? They were getting lost.

When we switched phones, we lost a piece. When storage ran out, they were the first to go. When we wanted to remember "how was that day?", it was easier to forget than to look.

I thought: there was a place missing. A place that was just ours. Where every memory had value. Where the first photo mattered as much as yesterday's.

LovUp was born from that. Not from a market analysis. Not from a trend. From a Tuesday and a lost photo.

We built it with one simple rule: if it is not meant to be kept, it does not get in. If it is not meant to last, it does not become a memory. If it is not just for the two of you, you do not need LovUp.

Every screen, every feature, every decision starts with the same question: "does this help a couple remember?".

If yes, it ships. If not, it does not.

This is LovUp. This is the why.
